"Just a small town girl" is one way to describe me. Born & raised in Crown Point, Indiana. A normal day in my life is waking up next to my British husband, Kingsley, in Gary, Indiana, and going for a morning walk on the beach with my two favorite men (Kingsley and her Chihuahua, Gus), before going to work for the best boss at a LOL (Little old Lady) salon called Hair Shaper Salon in downtown Crown Point.
I graduated from Excel Cosmetology School in 2011 and not long after, my ever so gracious mom gave me permission to use one of spare rooms as a hair salon. Starting from scratch, I sourced my equipment and furniture from stuff laying around, and the kind donations of friends. I've since grown my salon into a intimate, professional setting, where I continue to make women (and men) feel beautiful every day.
I continue to learn and grow from my boss, Bev, a hair stylist for over 45+ years, as well as regular continuing education classes, and knowledge from other hair stylists. I loves to keep up with the latest trends, products through the use of social media.
The purpose for madabouthair.online is to share my hair adventures, and products that I've found along that way. I hope to share some insight into my life, and also what kind of projects I get into every now and then! I hope to inspire others to go after what they want out of life, and never look back.
